St. Paul's Monastery Annual Retreat: Transitions
With Sr. Dawn Annette Mills, OSB
Open Dates
Religious gatherings seem to spend a lot of time talking about transition. In reality transition is part of life and a big part of our history. We transitioned from our life in a family to life in community. We transitioned into ministry. We probably transitioned into a second or third ministry at one point. Some have transitioned from an active ministry to a ministry more focused on prayer. Transition is another way of saying “life is a journey, and we are always on the move.” During these days of retreat let us look at the transitions navigated by our ancestors in the faith. What wisdom do they have to share with us?
Oblates are invited to join the Sisters for the conferences each day of the retreat. Oblates are also encouraged to join the community for meals.
- Please check the registration boxes for each session you will attend, and choose appropriately if you are staying for a meal.
- This in an in-person event; there is no online option.
- The final day to register with meals is Friday, June 12, 2026.
- Note that silence is observed all week, including at meals.
Overnight accommodations are also available to Oblates during the week’s retreat. Please contact Paul Tillman (ptillman@stpaulsmonastery.org or 651-777-7251) in the Benedictine Center for lodging options/prices.
