George Bernard Shaw wrote, “The best place to seek God is in a garden. You can dig for Him there.” Seeds, soil, plants, water and sun offer insights into the Divine at work in our life. This retreat will focus on the sacred connections found in the ordinary tasks of gardening. Through discussion, reflection, prayer and music we will explore the many ways God speaks to us in a garden.

Cathy Scherer Stubbs grew up on a farm west of the Twin Cities. She is an Oblate with St. Paul’s Monastery and has served as a Pastoral Minister in several parishes. She is also wrote “Fields of Grace, Everyday Encounters with the Holy” and recorded two musical CDs.
