Info Session: What is Spiritual Direction?

What is Spiritual Direction?

A Free Online Information Session

You take care of your physical health. You care for your relationships. You invest in your professional growth.

But how are you caring for your soul?

Spiritual direction is an ancient Christian practice of meeting regularly with a trained companion who listens deeply and helps you notice God’s presence and movement in your everyday life. It is not counseling, therapy, or life coaching. Rather, spiritual direction creates space to slow down, reflect, pray, and discern where God may be inviting you to grow.

Whether you are navigating a season of transition, longing for a deeper prayer life, wrestling with questions of faith, or simply sensing there is “something more,” spiritual direction offers a place to listen with the ear of your heart.

Join us for this free one-hour Zoom session to learn:

• What spiritual direction is—and what it is not
• What happens during a spiritual direction session
• Who spiritual direction is for
• How Benedictine spirituality shapes the ministry of spiritual direction at the Benedictine Center
• How to connect with one of our trained spiritual directors

There is no obligation to begin spiritual direction after attending. This session simply offers an opportunity to ask questions, explore whether spiritual direction might be right for you, and discover how caring for your spiritual life can become part of your regular rhythm.

Sometimes the most important conversation you’ll have is the one that helps you listen for God’s voice.
