Holy Desires: Advent Insights Into Pope Francis' 'Desiderio Desideravi'; Retreat
With Fr. Michael Joncas
December 3, 2022
“Desiderio Desideravi” is Pope Francis’ 29 June 2022 apostolic letter “on the liturgical formation of the People of God.” He writes: “[W]e see that the liturgical year is for us the possibility of growing in our knowledge of the mystery of Christ, immersing our life in the mystery of His Death and Resurrection, awaiting his return in glory. This is a true ongoing formation.” [#64). Following Pope Francis’ guidance, this retreat will encompass formation for and by the Advent Liturgy, exploring especially what Pope Francis calls “the gestures and words that belong to the assembly.” [#51]
This event will take place online via Zoom.
