Exhibit Your Work at St. Paul's Monastery Gallery

Submission/Approval Process

• Proposals to exhibit at St. Paul’s Monastery Gallery should be submitted prior to Feb. 15 of each year.
• A letter of acknowledgement will be sent to the artist.
• Between Feb. 15 and Mar. 15 of every year, the Art and Spirituality Team will review proposals and select four exhibits for at least the following 12 months.
• By Mar. 31, letters of acceptance and regret will be sent to the artists.

A complete proposal will include

1. Artist’s name and contact information
2. A statement of up to 100 words describing the artist’s overall work.
3. A proposal of up to 300 words describing how the proposed theme and medium contribute to the purposes of the spirituality and art exhibit program.
4. At least one example of the works to be included. A link to an online gallery is preferred.

Criteria Used To Consider A Proposal

• The proposed exhibit reflects spiritual themes drawn from religious traditions, Scripture, nature, the human journey, and/or an interpretation of the mystery of life.
• The exhibit demonstrates artistic skill and ability.
• Because the exhibit is shown in a prominent public space that Sisters and guests use daily, the exhibit will enhance that space.
