What does it mean to seek God’s will—not as a puzzle to solve, but as an invitation into greater freedom, love, and relationship with God?

Join the Benedictine Center for a five-week lunchtime conversation around Ten Evenings with God by Sister Ilia Delio, OSF. Despite the title, we’ll be gathering at midday, not in the evening! Over five Zoom gatherings, we’ll explore two of Delio’s “evenings” at a time, creating space in the middle of the day to slow down, listen, reflect, and notice how God may already be at work in our lives.

Delio approaches the question of God’s will through the lens of relationship. Rather than offering easy answers or a formula for discernment, she invites readers to know God more deeply. Along the way, she explores prayer as relationship, the importance of solitude and listening, attentiveness to our senses, discernment, freedom, and the foundational truth that God is love. Each chapter concludes with questions that invite personal reflection and conversation.

Our lunchtime gatherings will be conversational and reflective rather than academic. Together, we’ll consider what Delio’s insights stir within us and how they might shape the way we listen for God in the ordinary choices, relationships, questions, and rhythms of daily life.

Whether you are navigating an important decision or simply longing to deepen your relationship with God, these five gatherings offer a meaningful pause in the middle of the week—and an opportunity to seek God in the company of others.
